You got it half right. You have this diploma disease because many many of your jobs are sponsored by the government and they require a piece of paper. Actually this diploma disease is world-wide, you are more thorough

Well I have given the following comparison. Over the last 40 years I come to BiH. I have observed a patient that is chronically sick. We have come to the point that decisions have to be made, triage or selling the organs. Are you telling me to sell the organs.

Since when is the requirement that you have a diploma to make decisions. In the US I will be judged in the court by my peers, whatever they have studied !

Just 24 hrs ago, one of them brought the "pork" (sorry that animal is referred to in the US) home in Bihac. Tens of millions for the university in Bihac.

I share your concerns. So I am vocal about the following changes to the system:1. Create real universities, for instance close Travnik2. All MS and PhD thesis will be in English so that outsides can read and criticize.3. All PhD committees will have somebody from outsideIn general change changes can only be made by forces from outside. Politicians are there to be USED, like an iPhone, the model is old they will be recycled ;-)

Right now only two exist in the world, CNAO and MedAustron. This would be heavily funded by the EU and seen as a peace project because many countries would have to collaborate.

This puts a lower limit to the decay time of the isotope and therefore the treatments. Another very ambition application would be to add many accelerator sections together and make a high-energy (500 MeV) cancer treatment center with heavy-ions. There is an international collaboration setup for this, search for SEEIST; BiH is a member of this. A facility like this would serve the whole balkan. Ist costs would be ~300 Million EUR.
