Kritika nije lišen ni suparnik Obame u utrci za novog predsjednika Sjedinjenih Američkih Država John McCain za kojeg se kaže kako mu ne treba nikakva stolica "ukoliko nije paralizovan".
Reper Ludacris jedan je od mnogobrojnih muzičara koji podržavaju Obamu u kampanji da postane prvi crnac predsjednik SAD-a.
Ipak, Obama se distancirao od numere pod nazivom "Politics As Usual" i kritikovao repera rekavši da bi se trebao sramiti, objavio je Telegraph.
"Ova pjesma nije samo izrazito uvredljiva za gospođu Clinton, gospodina McCaina, velečasnog Jacksona i predsjednika Busha već je uvredljiva za sve nas koji u današnjem svijetu pokušavamo odgajati djecu," rekao je glasnogovornik Obaminog tima Bill Burton. "Iako je Ludacris talentovan momak, trebao bi se sramiti ovih stihova."
